The Charisma Tote

The house signature, and the piece the Maison is known by. A structured tote in black calfskin, drawn to a clean rectangle that holds its line whether it is full or nearly empty.

The leather is full-grain Tuscan calf, vegetable-tanned over six weeks and hand-glazed so it takes on a soft sheen with wear. Gold-tone hardware is cast in solid brass and polished by hand.

Inside, a suede-lined compartment is sized for a 13-inch laptop, with two open pockets and a zipped one for the day that follows a meeting. Twin handles are cut to sit on the shoulder or in the hand.

Cut, stitched and finished in Florence by a workshop that has made leather goods for the house since the first collection. Each tote carries the maker's stamp under the base.

Arrives in a cotton dust bag with a small tin of leather balm. Rain will not harm it; a soft cloth and an evening's rest will.
